btw im 13 Oh my god! I was at my friends house and I just had my first period! My friend left the room for a couple minutes to get some snacks from downstairs, so i was in her computer room/office for a little bit. While she was gone, I decided to stand up on the office chair to see if I could balance on the wheeled-chair. Immediately following that, I feel a gush on liquid fall through my vagina and through my underwear. Confused, I look down to see my period blood pouring down my leg, soaking through my underwear and pants, and dripping all over the computer monitor and keyboard! I screamed probably the loudest I've ever screamed in my life! I quickly grab my hand and hold it tightly on my crotch to keep any more blood from dripping onto the computer and keyboard and ran outside the house. I pass by my friend, who looked at me with the most confused look on her face, and left a long trail of my period blood on the floor behind me as I leave the front door. Running home (which is a good 10 minutes away from my friends house), tears fill my eyes from embarrassment and blood drips down my pants and staining the streets. I had to cross school to get back home. I found hundreds of kids, laughing at me and also looking at me like I was some kind of alien. I couldn't take it anymore. At that moment I just wanted to be alone, so I took my hand off my bloody crotch and with blood soaked fingers, screamed at everyone around me, " LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!" immediately silence took over the school, and I passed out from embarrassment. I woke up to find myself in my bed at home to learn that my mom picked me up from school after the incident. so my question is: does this happen to EVERYBODY?!.

omg, I'm so sorry. That one has never happened to me. Geez, that's like worst case scenario. The worst thing that happened to me was I started in the cafeteria at lunch in 7th grade. Yeah let's not speak about what the chair looked like. Hey for future crisis, keep a black sweater in your backpack so if something like that happens you can wrap a sweater around your waste.
Um no things that dramatic do not happen to everyone. You should have stayed at your friends house to avoid the embarrassment. She would have helped you out! Getting your period is normal, you have to go with the flow ... no pun intended.

NO. when i got my first period, i was just happy coz finally i got it! but in your case, i think you're over reacting. the thing to do when you have your first period is to ask your friend for a napkin and borrow an underwear and pants. i just dont know why you left you're friends' house without thinking that anyone might see your blood dripping from ur vagina. go see a pyschologist. My story was just as embarassing but it was my second time... Okay i was in school in biology class and it started and I got up to put away my book and i found my chair was covered in blood. I was embarassed and clueless then I waited till the bell rang and got up and had to tell my male teacher I needed napkins...he didn't have any so I ran to the girls bathroom to get em. I could hear people laughing. Then I cleaned and went to the office called home and nobody picked i waited there. Then my mom came to pick me up and I went home and took a shower and passed out, I went to the doctors they said it was because I was loosing a lot of blood. :(( You should of tried talking to your friend? My story is as embarassing as yours, and this could occur to any girl. Don't worry about it too much!! Hope you feel better!! =)

Thats So Sad I'm Sorry.I Started Mine But It Didn't Go Through My pants At School.I Had To Pee REALLY Bad So I Asked The Teacher To Go To The Bathroom And She Let Me..When I Got There There Was Blood All Over My Underwear! I Tried Not To Cry And Ran To The Nurses Office,They Told Me I Needed A Slip From My Teacher! I Ran Back To Class Holding My Crotch To Make Sure It Didn't Leak And I Asked The Teacher For A Slip And She Was Like Why Blah Blah,It Was Reading Time So It Was REALLY Quiet,I Whispered To The Teacher Why And A Kid Heard But Didn't Tell Anyone.I Went To The Office Got A Pad,But My Pants Were Really Tight,So You Could See The Buldge From The Pad! I Was So Emmbaressed When Everyone Was Staring At Me Laughing.:(
