How successful are relationships between a guy (and a girl) that likes a girl for a while...?

for example in 9th grade and only has her(in his classes) in 10th grade. Then he flirts with her in 10th grade and she likes him. How successful do you think those relationships are?

1. Well me and my current boyfriend were best friends for like 6 years before we dated. It was great, we've been together almost a year, on the 18th it will be a year! So being friends for a while, and liking each other for a while only makes it better when you finally get together. Cause it's like finally getting what you've been waiting for for so long!
