Have You Ever Worked On A Project Where You Knew You Weren't Getting Paid Unless It Became Successful?

Have you ever worked on something like a demo tape or some other creative project but knew you weren't going to be paid up front, if at all? You're getting paid depended on whether or not the project ended up being successful, ect?

  1. No I have not. I have volunteered, and gotten paid for doing a good job.
  2. i dont have that type of career, but i very much enjoy volunteering for special olympics and get paid back plenty!!!!!!
  3. Isn't that like an internship?
  4. Yes and I do not buy into it. Only give them a representative amount until they can show you some dough. Often what they will do is get your best creative ideas only to use them on their own. I worked with fortune 500 copmanies in advertising. So if thats what they do I am sure most other people are not above that. Most people want to pay you for your time. Even it's only a deposit and show of work.
  5. No...people can also decide simply not to pay you... They can constantly raise the bar of "success" in an excuse not to pay you at all...and just use you... I understand...Ive been in that situation before...they wanted me to take on incredible responsibilities (executive work) and barely even pay me enough to cover health insurance...they probably wanted me to do the work and then fire me when the found someone with a more prestigious title... Not only that...I had the impression that they wanted to catch me stealing from them... I keep running into these problems...I cant believe so many people think Blacks want to work only to steal from them! Get a legal contract...make sure they pay you what your worth...
  6. It is kind of like what I am doing. I have been working on 2 websites, one sells products, the 2nd one not, so, my 2nd one is kind of like what you are asking here, I make profit only if I can sell successfully. My boyfriend is helping me. My target is $5 millions :)
