Success Happy

How can you define success if you are standing in the midst of cemetery?

There are a lot of definitions about success that people wanted to achieve. They want money, power and prestige. They accumulated millions of money and even bought a vast land. But after a while when they are dead, they'll only be buried in a 3 square meter land with nothing in their hands. Now, what is success when you are staring at the tomb of a dead person who was once a very wealthy?

  1. Prepare to live forever.
  2. I define success in terms of your legacy - what did you accomplish in this world and your community that was good? This is why we honor the poeople in our human history who against all odds managed to make a change in our world...
  3. NAB LUK 12:31 "Instead, seek his kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides. Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be."
  4. Success is not measured by what you do for yourself but instead what you do for mankind.
  5. Success - the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors.
  6. Depends. Did that dead person leave a legacy of help to organizations and peoples who need it? Can be for medical research, food growing, ending of poverty around the world, ending of abuse of spouses and children, all environmental issues. If the person gave great amounts of their monies for this while they were alive and even in their will after they died, then they are a success. Even passing down their money to their children means they are a success, because maybe the children will be doctors and discover the cure for cancer one day! So it just depends. Someone who had millions of dollars and helped no one, this is not a success.
  7. When I'm all covered with electrodes, watching the paramedics setting up the paddles and pushing my gurney to ER...If I can say "it was all worth it" I may consider myself to be a successful person...
  8. Um, I'm still standing there, breathing?
  9. " As regards anyone wise, his eyes are in his head; but the stupid one is walking on in sheer darkness. And I have come to know, I too, that there is one eventuality that eventuates to them all.  And I myself said in my heart: “An eventuality like that upon the stupid one will eventuate to me, yes, me.” Why, then, had I become wise, I overmuch so at that time? And I spoke in my heart: “This too is vanity.”  For there is no more remembrance of the wise one than of the stupid one to time indefinite. In the days that are already coming in, everyone is certainly forgotten; and how will the wise one die? Along with the stupid one........................The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man.  For the [true] God himself will bring every sort of work into the judgment in relation to every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad............ Ecclesiastes
