Are there any websites where you can get free birth records and marriage records?

I live in Michigan and I am searching for info for someone in Michigan. Are there any free websites? Thanks

Probably not for what you need. The Mormons, for instance, have millions of records, and ways to limit the search to Michigan, but nothing after 1900 or so save Social Security Deaths. Some county-level US Gen Web sites have birth and marriage records, but again for pre-1900. Many women will put their maiden name as a middle name on their facebook page, so if you are looking for a living woman and you know what high school she went to and the year she graduated, you could try it.
