Why do democrates try to penalize the successful and force them to pay for others?

Shouldnt we all pull our own weight regardless doesnt this destroy the idea of personal responsibility

  1. They don't realize that they vote this way as TMZ doesn't let it be known to them.
  2. I can always tell a 12 year old parroting what daddy says.
  3. Because people that can't spell 'democrats' need education. Look into it.
  4. Because they can afford it. Even if you have to pay more taxes you will still be receiving more than someone who earns less. It's not about penalizing, it's about paying what you can to society.
  5. Guess you didn't get the memo..The plan is to roll back the breaks the rich get to Ronald Reagan times....Is there a problem with Republicans paying the same amount of tax they paid under the great communicator?? I don't see the problem myself....You were all fine with it back then.....
  6. They don't care about those people, its just a way to buy votes.
  7. they need to create as many "victims" as possible, who are completely dependent on the government, in order to get votes
  8. Its called you do all the work and I do all the spending - a form of division of labor...get it?
  9. This "sympathy for the rich" argument is getting old. America has real problems to deal with.
  10. The democrats have to keep their people suppressed or they would not be voted in. Keep them dependent and lazy, then promise them that their bills will be paid by the rich and they will vote everyone in the graveyard!
  11. Because not everyone has a chance to be successful. You seem to think every unsuccessful person is just lazy. Alot of them actually do work hard, but in life stuff happens. Car breaks down, new baby, you get laid off. All of that costs money and puts alot of ppl in a financial whole. These people should be helped. What you view as being penalized, I view as helping your fellow American.
  12. No! The rich should work hard to pay for the poor! Oh wait they didn't work hard they just got lucky. Take, Take, Take. DO YOU NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE!
  13. Because as studies show Dems do NOT give to charities as much as Conservatives and they must force the Conservatives to make up for what they can NOT afford to donate from their welfare....combine with that and they are to lazy to WORK for what the want....they believe it is their RIGHT to have everything you do...even though it is YOUR money
  14. Most of them are "the others". ie government workers on every level, teachers , postal as well as welfare etc.
  15. Why did Republicans give the richest 1% almost ONE-QUARTER ($550 BILLION) of the $2.2 trillion tax cut? Why? No answer?
  16. It is communism. It is also about spreading the wealth. The idea is that person A, works his or her butt off to pay for person B, who only works part time, who in turn pays person C, of whom does nothing but sit on their butts all day. This form of government has failed in every country where it has been introduced, and America would be no exception. I don't know about you, but I'd be very upset to know that I'm out there working my butt off to make money, while my neighbour stays home and does nothing but yet receives a portion of my pay. Those are fighting words! You are right, this does destroy personnel responsibility, because many would see this as "why should I work and take responsibility, when someone else will do it for me?"
  17. Not penalize, just to pay fair cost of what they use. Many things that we're using have not just direct, but also indirect costs. For example, taxpayers pay part of the costs for rich people security systems in some states. When security alarm goes off, security company just calls local police to verify the situation. It taxpayers money. Employers and investors benefit from public education system when hire workers. Why shouldn't they share some costs? When counting indirect costs, affluent people benefit much more from government spending than poor people. I don't have right now materials handy, but there are many articles about that. Just goole it.
  18. "There is no bread!" "Let them eat cake!" Marie Antoinette, before meeting Monsieur Guillotine.
  19. LIBERALS WANT YOU POOR AND WITH YOUR HAND OUT SO THEY CAN RULE OVER YOU AND KEEP YOU DOWN
  20. Funny I kind of remember Bush bailing out failed banks with tax payer money
  21. Gimme gimme gimme Spend spend spend !
  22. obama wants whitey to work the plantation
  23. THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving. CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.' ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the, Ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, We shall overcome. Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake. President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight. Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share. Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper. The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ants food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood. The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it. MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.
  24. Because they feel they can afford to lose the rich vote if it means getting more poor people to vote for them. A flat/fair tax is needed.
