My guinea pig and my bunny are not happy?

My guinea pig and my bunny live together and they are best friends, they cannot live without each other, they sleep together, eat together, etc. But they are never fully happy. What can I do? I mean they have a pipe thingy tube to play with, a nice medium sized cage , little habitats to hide in and hay and food and water. Sometimes I let them run around my room . But i feel neither of them are happy, what can I do? How do I play with them?

  1. play with them
  2. them them get run around time as much as you can. A lil freedom to tire them out. just watch your electical cords. Sometimes a bathroom is a good place to let them hop around, floor easy to clean and not so many wires hanging around
  3. well look at it from a neutral situation. would u like to be locked up in a cage or not be able to run around freely. when i had rabbits i just let them go to there Natural habitats. idk buy them more stuff so they dont get tired of the things again an again.
  4. Set them free outside for a week. After seven days of living in the freezing cold, full of hunger, and stalked by the neighborhood's most dangerous predators, they will be happy that they live in your house and never complain again. My mom did the same thing to me when I turned ten.
  5. When they grow older they can start to fight with each other just to let you know.
  6. u should buy them a bigger cage. get them these new cool treats- http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753599 they r sooooo cool! its chunks of dried pineapple covered in yogurt!
  7. separate them asap. Guinea pigs and bunnies are not meant to live together. Bunnies carry some parasites that they are immune to and can kill guinea pigs. Also bunnies are hoppers, what if the bunny hops and accidentally hits your guinea pig? Then you need to bring him to the vet and pay a 200-300$ bill. People come here and complain they cannot afford a vet, can you? I do not want to sound rude or anything but as I said, rabbits and guinea pigs are not meant to live together
  8. Guinea Pigs and Rabbits DO NOT MIX!!!!! This is why they will never be really happy!!! They want to be with their own kind. Get the guinea pig another guinea pig friend, and the rabbit another rabbit friend(buy another cage first, though) and seperate the 2 species!!!! I can see you will be posting another question very soon if you don't(''my rabbit kicked my guinea pig while they were ''playing'', what should I do?''). Then google ''guinea pig shows'' and ''rabbit shows'' around your area and join a club, one for guinea pigs, one for rabbits! This is really rewarding and gives you a chance to show off your pets!!!! It's also a great way to interact with other owners, and they will give you ideas of ways to play with your pets in ways that will be rewarding for both of you!!! Good luck, but no-one would be happy in their situation, no matter how happy you say they are together, your rabbit will almost certainly be picking on your guinea pig, and neither can be getting the right nutrition from the kinds of food the individual animal needs.
