Why is it harder to be happy on cloudy days?
It seems like people are much happier on sunny days, even when it doesn't affect anything in their lives because they stay inside. Why is this?

- People like sunshine, rainbows and clear blue skies....
- I really like cloudy days if it storms really good, I always like a good storm every now and then.
- It's called "Seasonal Affective Disorder" (SAD) and some people are prone to it during the winter or even just on cloudy days, depending on the severity. Varying degrees of it are relatively common. That's why the suicide rate in Northern Europe is so high despite the very good standard of living, universal health care, excellent worker's rights and cities that are so clean you could bathe and roll naked on the sidewalk and get the sidewalk dirty. The further north you get, the worse it gets due to our months of darkness in the winter. It can be treated with daily exposure of only a few minutes (I think 10 or so) to special lights, btw. It's one of those brain chemical things.
- The answer is simple , color psychology , we see the huge plain color in sky that effect our brain , cloudy days are more gray with a bit of color movements...but sunny days with clean air or partly cloudy days has more blue color and the sun light do its own job.sorry i am very sleepy right now good night...
