How is college life in the US?
My friend is convinced that going to the US for university would be awesome, having in mind all the great parties to go to, girls, and fun times in general (kinda like the movies). Do you think he is right and it is helluva lot fun? or should he worry more about his education and life AFTER college? I think he should just go to the place where he could get the best opportunities for a successful life rather than just 4 years of fun times.

- Going to college is America is great. There are parties all the time, girls are there. It's fun. But that doesn't mean you won't be able to get the best opportunities for a successful life. You can go to Harvard or Princeton University and still get killed by a squirrel xD. All you have to do is know how to manage your time. School first. Fun later. Your friend will do fine in college in USA.
- If you live like they do in the movies, you will probably flunk out and be sent home. They CERTAINLY don't like foreign students to misbehave...cause they can just deport them. It is possible, though, to get a really good education, AND have some fun. The social life varies REALLY DRAMATICALLY from one campus to the next. But you really can have some of that, and a lot of studiousness, and enjoy yourself, and learn, and really flourish, if you do it right. You know, if you spend $75,000 and all you get is four years of women and hangovers, then you have wasted $75,000! Kind of expensive for a four year party, doncha think?
