What is a "Successful Life" in your eyes?

my mind has recently been blown open lol... I feel like maybe bums arent bums they are free... I have yet to ask one. haha I want happiness in my life fuck working hard for the man my whole life to die with no retirement and kids that care less about me because i worked to much and they dont even know me or whatever... Your standards dont make since to me. at this point i think i am going to build my own boat and go fuck off at sea for the next 40yrs. The reason: To create something with my own hands, be part of something real & to touch people with the beauty of my own creation. I feel I am part of a useless generation, full of people that dont know how to do real things. I am 25 and will never be broke not that i am rich. I do have the freedom to do whatever i want in my life tho... not because of money but because i know i can because i dont want the things your society wants. I want to fill my life with the beauty of the world and experience life... well i do have a lot of money tho haha... i add this in last just to say i have succeeded in your society, but i am only 25 there must be more..

2. hmm... in my opinion, a successful life is a life that has been lived by a person who does not regret it at his deathbed. this person knows that the amount of money that they have accumulated [or not] won't matter 1000 years from now, a blink in the eye that is the unverse. this person knows that they enjoyed their time on this globe, and looks forward to their time of eternal rest. that's a successful life to me. a life that is realized to be successful at it's end.
3. That's what I'm doing my thesis on, the fallacy of paid employment. It's just that reward systems in the brain are very different whether you are running after a cheetah and stabbing it in the head vs enduring traffic so that you can get in on time so the boss doesn't yell at you so that you can get the promotion so that you can get the new house so that you won't have to drive so far so that you can get in on time so that the boss doesn't yell at you. If you get what I'm saying. We are built to provide for ourselves with the prior but I might have to consult with an anthropology major to see how employment was invented. You sure feel free when you ain't got a job, and if ya' ain't hungry. - Of Mice and Men. ...They hung the jerk who invented work... - Oh Brother Where art Thou.
4. For me, successful life means leaving something behind as I pass away. People will remember me by what I've done, or how I effected their lives. In other words, my life is not about me. Your family will remember you by how happy you were, how you made other people smile, how you taught other people how to do things, how you created things that will inspire others, how you touched other people's emotions, how compassionate you were, how generous you were, how courageous you were, how you became an example of how we all should live. If I was rich and arrogant, when I pass away, nobody wants to remember me - that's not a success. If you have a lot of money, maybe you should consider exploring the world - do some traveling, experience how other people live in the other parts of the world. You may want to raise a family, your children are also your legacy, teach them what you know and how you want them to live.
5. to have done God's will throughout my life and have no major regrets. :)
6. To accomplish at least one quart or the half of your entire life goals. Because we aim at very high goals, and already accomplishing one quart of what we wanted is amazing. If you accomplish everything, your life isnt successful, its EPIC.
7. The quality of your life can be guaged by the quality of relationships you have. -I heard that once. I think its to do with the old, 'you only get back what you put in'.
8. Sounds like you need to ask God to direct your thoughts, words and actions and to see where He would like you to be in this wonderful world where you can be of service to Him and to others.
