Have I ruined my chances of a successful life?
I'm a junior in high school now and before I got into the 7th grade I had amazing grades. I had all A's and a few B's. Since 7th grade my grades have sucked. I've been getting F's, D's, and C's and pretty much no B's and never an A. I'm trying my hardest to bring up my grades, but no matter how I try I always f*ck up. I don't know what to think anymore. I want to get into a good college and get a good job, its just that I think I ruined my chances. What college would want me?

- It's okay. Talk to yourself. Try to sort out your feelings and thoughts. Talk to the counselors at your school. Tell them about your situation, and I'm sure they'll find a way to help you. As long as you want to improve, you'll will succeed. Try to take notice of how you are at school. Are you working way too fast and not checking your work? Are you staying too late and not studying for tests? Are you having trouble in an area? Talk to your parents, but I suggest the counselors. Don't fret over your bad grades. As long as you get help and you work hard to bring up your grades, your grades will come up, and soon you'll find that you're receiving A's, B's, etc. Right now, it's a good time to start thinking about your future. I think maybe you should a scholarship for a college that you want to go to. Ask around - your counselors, etc. Since you're in high school already, you've probably started applying for colleges. Don't think about the college(s) not accepting you or something like that, and apply for the colleges that you have in mind/would like to attend. Work hard and ask help when you needed. Good luck. Hope I helped.
- wow, that sounds like what my grades were. high school is chaos, and it takes a while to sort things out sometimes and have some order settle in. i don't know where you live, but in California where i am, community colleges can be a good starting place before heading to a four-year university. there are lower fees, less requirements for admission, and the quality of education is as good as any four-year college. i think my community college was actually better than the university i went to. i had a baby right out of high school and had to wait 6 years to go back to college, but i made it and got a job after i got my degree that paid over $40,000 a year right out of college.
