In your opinion how important is tension and contrast to a successful Still Life photograph?

- I believe contrast is most important. I see too many shots with all black areas and all white areas. Tres' boring.
- I think bob's kinda right again, but just kinda again. I've seen blown out images (that were purposefully blown out) that are incredible, and I've seen solid black that's knocked me over as well, but contrast really is one of the most overlooked elements in photography. I would say in all types of photography as well.
- I'd say pretty important. I helps keep your eyes moving and adds intrigue to the piece. Looking at an image of a bottle can be pretty boring and I'd look at the piece for a couple of seconds tops. But what if we wrapped it with barbed wire? Wouldn't that be interesting? Good Luck, stev
