Has Someone Who Was An Outcast At Your School Become Successful In Life?
I knew of a guy that was bullied and hit by other kids. Now, he is city mayor. Knew of a poor girl literally poor that was made fun by another girl. She has a Ph.D from Harvard and is married. The girl that made fun of her is working at Starbucks at 40 years of age. Goes to show youl How about you???

- Don't know, to be honest. I'm not really in touch with anyone anymore. I know people have moved away and are living with friends and attending courses, that sort of thing. Others have stayed in the same town and are working and/or going to classes. I expect that, since it's going on about four years since we left high school, people are still just beginning their lives and are concentrating on partying, work, education, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, money, etc. Although I do think there's a select few who will do great things in the future, I'm just waiting to see them on the news! I guess I'd need to go to a reunion to really see any rags-to-riches stories, in terms of bully victims becoming really successful, for example. I imagine the losers who thought they were cool (the real, true, slobbing around making trouble losers) are still slobbing around their flat doing nothing, but I could be surprised. Those are some good stories you have though, especially the Starbucks one! The one that's a mayor now--I wonder what the bullies think when they look at what he has become now and what they've become..
- I think if your bullied in anyway during your life it drives you to want to be more successful. I think being bullied or being an outcast makes people feel like they need to rise up against something and show the world that they can do more then what they are labeled as or the names they were called. I ts like if you told a child "i dont love you anymore" they'd do anything they could to make you love them again. Personally, I was bullied all through my school life.. and had very little friends as a result. I even dropped out of college because I couldnt cope with being lonely. I feel that I want to do something amazing with myself, not just for me and to feel good.. but because I'd feel like I've proved that the things they shunned me for in school, things that set me apart etc.. were actually talents that help me to think outside the box (eg to make a business idea etc). I remember on at my graduation ball being told I didnt look pretty..but I felt like the most beautiful woman in that room..because I was glad I wasnt her.. I was glad I didnt have to bring someone down to make myself feel better..mostly because I knew she would be that starbucks girl because she was one of the stupidest people I've ever met. :D
- I am still in the age of process, so I won't be able to say for another decade or so.. No wait, one of the more popular guys in our school was the fastest runner in the state of NY and he flunked out of college. He was such an a-hole in highschool so I was pretty happy to hear about it.
