- How about a technical school? They offer lots of different programs. I wasn't a college person either, good luck.
- Many successful people did not complete college. Most of them are self-employed entrepreneurs. If you are good at something and really enjoy it, find a way to market it to other people. Otherwise, finish at least and Associate Degree in something so that you have a backup plan. Being a drop out does not look good on a resume.
- Have you ever thought about going to a technical college to get skills that you can use in the labor force. You can usually graduate from a technical college in about 18 mos to 2yrs. Being in college and working at the same time I've learned that education is the key to success. This world is constantly advancing in technology and if you don't keep up you will fall behind the next man by three steps. Nowadays you have to almost have a degree to get just about any good job. Maybe you should fin out what things you like and what type of career or profession you would enjoy and follow that. Or create your own business.
- you can't go to school. it is best for you and i know you can do it!!! :) i didn't go now i have no job and i'm depending on my husband to do it all. hang in there. it will be better in the end!!!
- I barely got out of high school with a 70 average, was flunked out of college my freshman year. I first started hanging sheetrock, then carpentry, plumbing and electric. I then went into auto repair, bought the house I was renting. Now I'm 58, own 14 houses on 38 acres of waterfront California property. All paid for, tons of money in the bank. I still mow grass and fix the plumbing and electric. I have a healthy young man to do the heavy stuff, life is great. Good luck, work hard, save money, invest carefully.
- A couple of possiblities. 1) Work. If your one of the lucky guys who have good luck like the gentleman who owns 12 houses, by doing being a electrician/plumber, then go for it. Eventually you will work in an area where you will gain a skill trade, and can make a lot of money as a skilled laborer. 2) Continue with education. Reading a book is a lot easier than working in a field. It's not as intersting but it saves time, and you can get a wide range of informatino. Perhaps you need to change your major? Maybe 1 geared more to your interest. 3) Join the military. A lot of crap is going on over seas, true. But the military will provide every living expense, millions of people have had good careers in the military, and while it is dangerous, so is going to college (God Bless Virginia Tech.). 4) Pursue family bis. If your parents have a company, chances are you will be stuck with it. Get what you need to take care of it, and start learning the skills they have. Good Luck, your dealing with the same thing most people do whether in college, before, and after.
- There are many successful people without a degree or qualification. However, you will need to educate yourself in something that you really love to do. Once you determine what you want to do, focus on it and you will make it. Having said that, going through education leading to a degree will greatly boost your chances for a job if that is what you seek. But know that you can always educate yourself to which ever level of success you desire without a degree. Learning will give you access to information. You can educate yourself today to become successful in any area because of the internet. When you are able to use that information to solve practical problems, then it become knowledge. Knowledge is the only thing that will make you successful. So let me differentiate between successful people and unsuccessful people. Successful people; whether they be self-employed, wage earners, executive or common-labourer, are seekers of knowledge. They absorb information from every direction. The information they can use become knowledge, while the information they have no apparent use for is simply stored on the chance that someday it will become useful. Unsuccessful people; claim to be seekers of knowledge, but, they believe that knowledge itself can be imparted. Because the books they read, the courses they take, and the plans they buy contain only "information" they are forever disappointed. Because it is only INFORMATION, (not the knowledge they thought they were going to get), they never use the information and, thereby, the knowledge they sought is lost to them forever. You can find a starting point using powertools for entrepreneurs. Look around, you may find something that interest you. If you do, pursue it with all vigor and you will be successful.
