What sort of medical tests does this mean?
I'm looking at University Midwifery courses, and it says on one of the entry requirements.. "The health of all successful candidates will be assessed to establish fitness to undertake midwifery education" What sort of tests will this include? I'm overweight and i'm not fit either. It might sound stupid, but that doesn't mean i can't do it.. Does it?

- It's likely referring to mental and emotional fitness, not physical fitness. Although, as you already know, physical fitness is important for you :.)
- To be honest, I don't think it will mean it relies mainly on physical fitness as in they want you to run marathons around the hospital, I think it means more things like mental health, are you able to cope with stress etc, are you succeptible to have seizures or epilepsy, all those sorts of things that could prevent you from doing your job properly, for example if someone had HIV, they would be a high risk factor to a hospital incase they were around an open cut etc, i know thats a kind of worst case scenario but you get what i mean, for example if you perhaps had a certain type of autism that meant that you practically shutdown when stressed it wouldnt be a good idea to be in an emergency scenario Good Luck! :D
