1. Spelling and grammar always help -- even if you have a GREAT idea for a small business. This is the era of the creative class but people who text poorly are self-injuring, even if they have a GREAT product. You want true innovation leading to insanely great products sold with grammatical copy to an appreciative market. The top things to do would be the same as the top things, so stand in the corner and face the fall for 1 minute for each of those extra words ("to do"). If you create your own business, you no longer need to worry about whether you are employable or not. Success depends on your product, your business plan, and the adequacy of your capitalization, and your marketing plan including your written communications with good spelling and grammar. You may need to repeat a few grades, or do some remedial work. Anybody who is ever shoddy in their use of words is always shoddy. People in business who use words shoddily are not trusted to make contracts or do deals. Precision is your top thing to be more successful. Learn to write with precision, and correctly.
