What makes a "PERSON" to be a very successful business man in a small business????????
Is it "smartness", "intelligence", "having big money", pure "luck", destiny or fate, higher education, perfect timing, or God-that simply makes a person to be very successful business man in making good money and having a good positive growing future???? I sometimes, think that "big money or big success" follows certain people in life, by the way they look, dress, act, tone of voice, a simple hand shake, or outstanding service, etc, etc. Thanks guys for your honest answers in advance.

- drive and determination of course.
- just plain old gut instinct that is instilled somehow inside the person and he is successful without help from anyone and performing to what you describe above because "society" said that is how you have to act.
- The most successful entrepreneurs have an inate self belief (not arrogant) and see opportunities where other people see problems. Everyone's version of what 'success' is, is different... if you're a small business owner, work out what success means to you, what it looks like, and write down some goals to that effect. Then you'll know when you've reached it! writing down your goals is essential otherwise you're on a journey with no definitive pointers. all the best of luck ;)
- In the long run you have to ask yourself, "do I want a BUSINESS or a JOB?" Most successful small business owners transition from being a "one-man show" to having a successful business because they enjoyed running a business - not just doing the work. If you get stuck being your own best laborer, you will have a "practice" at best, not a business. My suggestion is to read the book, "The E-Myth." It will outline how to build a business so that the business becomes a sustainable entity without YOU if that is the way you want it. As for personal traits - I would say excellent communication skills (both expressing and listening) will carry you a lot farther than looks, clothes, or even money.
