is this true to be successful in business?

quote: "The power to achieve the life of your dreams is in your hands—and the first step toward activating it is identifying the specific goals that will make your dreams real. After all, it’s much easier to get what you want out of life when you know where you’re going."

  1. Yes this is very true coz you wil not have many choices to choose from once you identify what you want in life
  2. I would agree with that statement. If you don't know where you want to go and don't set goals you are just stumbling around in the dark. This is the quote that I have posted in my office and it inspires me every day: "Be like a postage stamp -- stick to ONE THING until you get there." Josh Billings
  3. It is part of the truth. However just indentify the specific goals isn't enough, You will then have to identify the activities that need to be done to achieve the goal. Teamwork is another important thing, along with being able to empower your employees.
  4. Yes indeed! In order to be successful in LIFE, is identifying your goals, immediate, short and long term. I am a small business owner and keeping my goals in sight at all times. Now we are not talking only monetary goals but also goals of being balanced and living the type of lifestyle YOU choose. (which you cannot do if you have a "Boss" determining how much money your time is worth.) Sit down each morning or evening to plan your day and take the steps necessary to achieve your goals. First, you will want to list all of the things that are important to you, put them in 3 categories (you can break them down further if you like) but I put Immediate, Short Term, and Long Term as my headings on 3 pieces of paper. Immediate, pay off my home, spend more time with my family, etc. Short term, eliminate the stress of not having enough time with family, give back to the community with volunteer work, or $ to pay bills on time, etc. Long Term, having a source of residual income so that I don't have to worry about money at all and can travel, do some gardening, contribute more time to my charities, volunteer more time, etc. I like to have people I train and work with make a "goal board" which is to take a poster board and cut out photo's of what is most important in your life. One woman I work with put a big pic of a watch indicating that she wants more time with the people in her life and more time to do what she wants to do rather than being a wage slave or worse. The philosophy you have quoted above is a good place to start. Keep focused and you will without question reach your goals, keep in mind that nothing happens overnight and you do have to sometimes make some changes in your life, but the pay off is tremendous! I work from my home and just that leap of faith has allowed me uncountable benefits. Good Luck and Be Well
  5. That is true, but you need much more to be successful in business.
