- Persistence Creativity Intelligence Resilience Sensitivity Curiosity ~Dr. B.~
- Patience and a really, really, thick skin.
- For fiction authors, they must be able to tell very, very long lies.
- Holly Lisle has a great quiz on her site to gauge whether or not writing is the right career for you. It's a very good test written by someone who is successful in this field, and it will tell you pretty accurately if your idea of the life and career of a writer meshes with the reality.
- You need the character to be original in a way and have traits that are good or bad but persistent through the novel. Show your character to have real feelings that everyday people have and imagine your character and get to know him/her/other. add detail to your characters thoughts and expressions and think of the character as a real person. Hope I helped.
