Is it weird to give my dentist a 'happy birthday' card on his birthday?

He is my orthodontist, and he is a really sweet person. He doesn't know that I know when his birthday is <--- (that was really confusing, sorry!), do you think it would be weird/awkward to give him a card on his birthday?
