Sorry for the absurdness there. @Crystal: It's my top RHH albums. Reason why it's in RHH. I can do one of these for rock too. @Tyrone: R.E.B.I.R.T.H in my opinion is better than S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M because it has my favorite One Be Lo tracks on it. "Born & Raised" "War" "Don't Sleep" "Gray" (Which is my favorite One Be Lo song) "Hip Hop Heaven"

  1. I'm stealing all of this sh*t.
  2. APOS #1? IMO Will rap For Food > APOS, other than that solid list
  3. Really nice list. It's a breath of fresh air not seeing "1. Illmatic 2. Paid In Full 3. Ready to Die" etc. Also, I had no idea you thought so highly of One Day It’ll All Make Sense. *stars*
  4. >_> several recommendations for me in here.. that's a great list though. you have nice taste. a piece of strange is my favorite album of all time as well.
  5. Unique list, i like it alot.
  6. coping and pasting this !
  7. 31. He’s The Rapper, I’m the DJ - Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff 32. Illmatic - Nas I really like Fresh Prince as a rapper and think he gets a bad rap from a bunch of hip hop fans who have never bothered to even listen to him spit. However, this is just absurd. Anyways, I think I might do one of these too when I find the time. Although One Day It'll All Make Sense and A Piece of Strange are in my top 10 as well so it will seem a lot less original.
  8. It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy,....not worthy of your top 100? Jeru the Damaja - The Sun Rises in the East AND Wrath of the Math De La Soul - Balloon Mind State AND Art Official Intelligence A Tribe Called Quest - Beats Rhymes & Life AND Low End Theory & even People's Instinctive Travels & the Paths of Wisdom Black Moon - Enta da Stage Souls of Mischief - 93 'til infinity Eric B & Rakim - Paid in Full EPMD - Strictly Business
  9. So you only listen to rap huh
  10. Good list, but I'll have to cosign with BKS on Will Smith's album being about Illmatic. Although, it is different from most lists. Usually people put it as number one. I'll be checking some of the albums from this list out.
  11. Albums that surprised me: #2, #15, #20, #28, #31, #36, #44, #65, #78, #80. A Piece of Strange is also my favorite album, and Game Theory is also my favorite Roots album. Unless I missed it, I'm f*cking shocked that you didn't put any Qwel or Sage Francis albums on here. Shame, shame, shame for not having Die, Rugged Man, Die on here. Lol nah. My top five would consist of: 1. A Piece of Strange - Cunninlynguists 2. I Phantom - Mr. Lif 3. ATLiens - Outkast 4. Project: F.E.T.U.S. - One Be Lo 5. The Ugly Truth - Prolyphic & Reanimator You get a ten for originality and dopeness.
  12. Well, it's certainly original I like it. But why REBIRTH over SONOGRAM? Fair enough.. Gray and Hip Hop Heaven are a couple of my favorites from him as well.
  13. nah that list needs to be rearanged a lil bit and some otha albums should be in ther
  14. Dope list. Mine would probably have like 50 of those in there.
  15. Awesome list, I appreciate you sharing this. I was just thinking today how Pigeon John is one of my favorite rappers and he's so underrated. I would have added "Low End Theory" by ATCQ, cause it influenced most of the other albums on the list. I would also add Black Moon's "Enta Da Stage" and Busta Rhyme's "The Coming".
  16. Pretty good, creative list. Some people (the chronic) just use generic lists as their top albums.
  17. Nice list man, especially #1...f*ck yeah! Everything else is pretty good and original. Now i have more stuff i gotta listen to.
  18. you need eminems recovery in their :P
  19. I've never heard of half of those artists..i do like the eminem, tupac, busta rhymes, and wu tang clan but idk maybe its just cuz those artists were before my time (im only 18).
  20. great list, love it
  21. Damn can't believe there's no pete rock or J dilla on this list.. they should definitely replace eminem & atmosphere lol
  22. I don't mind the He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper pick, but having it as the highest ranked (and only) album from the 80s makes me want to throw up. Spelling I Phantom like it's an Apple product made me throw up in my mouth a little. I personally don't like the lack of influential albums, but if you don't take influence into consideration, it's cool.
  23. MY GAWD!!!!!!
  24. OKay, Honestly You Need Some Kid Cudi, &nd Wale On there. Other Than That Lupe Fiasco &nd Common Gotta Be My Favorite On This List.
  25. I like to see you're a fan of Outkast too.
  26. this is the best site for everything!!! but most importantly tv shows!!! http://motionempire.com/_35055
  27. I don't consider myself a hip-hop head anymore considering I haven't listened to the first 3 albums you mentioned. But this is the best 100 list I've ever seen.
  28. I love how you got APOS first, that's my favorite album. And judging by this list, you and me have a very similar taste in hip hop. Dope list man! Here's a star.
  29. you must be from new york or some shit like that.in my opinion that list sucks what about three 6 mafia,2 pac,lil wyte,8 ball,easy-e,treal,and shit loads of others.that list would not even make my top 1000
  30. This is way better than most of the other list up here, I'm gonna cosign with Swag Props to you.
  31. Damn, 2 Outkast albums in the Top 10, much respect. I think is needs Binary Star - Masters of the Universe but I'm with you on R.E.B.I.R.T.H. being better than S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M., However, I believe they are both Top 100. HAving a Pharcyde album in hear but not their debut? You are goin crazy out here but i respect it. I do agree Game Theory may be The Roots dopest album. Shad K, Top 20? My hat is tipped to you. My only problem, I feel you have a lot of the same artists clumped together at the beginning, I mean I love that your list is so unique but 2 Outkast in the Top 10 2 Roots albums in the Top 20 2 Brother Ali albums in the Top 15 I do agree with a lot of stuff but some is a bit crazy, like your Slum Village pick. Overall 10/10 for uniqueness,
  32. no NWA? I think A Tribe Called Quest should be in the top 10.
  33. wheres Recovery?
  34. Really nice list. It's a breath of fresh air not seeing "1. Illmatic 2. Paid In Full 3. Ready to Die" etc. Also, I had no idea you thought so highly of One Day It’ll All Make Sense. *stars*
  35. NO SOUTH PARK MEXCAN?!? BIT I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE EMINEM ON THERE N IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE TOO
