Is it possible to find marriage records for free?

I need to find marriage records, and possibly even divorce records... Is there somewhere I can do this for free? Online preferred, but offline is fine if online is not available for free. Thx~! ADD: I found free trials online, but they all want a membership subscription first, so they want my credit card info, and I'm not going that route.

1. all you got to do is go to the court house where the divorce or marriage records the state and county u can look for free and make copies also . so go for it
