Success Happy

What is the attitude of a rich and successful person before becoming so?

Did they blame their misfortune on successful people and felt victimized and hopeless or did they take responsibility for their situation and see successful people as a motivational factor? If you believe the latter as I do than, should our society, government policy included, end the victimized self-image and class warfare that keep people down. Promoting inspirational success and suppressing attitudes of uncontrollable perpetual failure.

  1. Yup. People like Dave Ramsey. He was once very rich, but then he lost everything. He worked off all of his debts and lived in poverty. Now he's back up there and has his own radio show to share his secrets. He never blamed anyone.
  2. At first they were grateful---after WWII... then they turn into monsters ---after they got the Civil Right Law passed using MLK Jr as a foot soldier then they started milking Americans
  3. First of all, I can tell youre in college. You can keep it simple on yahoo. Basically youre saying we are behaving as hopeless people and justifying it by blaming successful and instead we need to rejuvenate the "American Dream". I would agree, completely. I would add, stop blaming the government, stop blaming your parents, stop blaming unfairness, and take complete accountability of who you or no one will.
  4. I'm with you that that's the way it should be. Trouble these days is that it's getting close to impossible for any of "humble origins" to make it big (assuming you're defining success as having wealth). As the gap between the wealthy and the rest of us gets wider the opportunities for those who are not wealthy are getting more and more scarce.
  5. Had to lose their soul. Make money of the poor and uneducated Had to be greedy. That is what it takes. Plus an ability to be able to justify all the terrible behavior psychologically, shredding one of ones conscious. That is why Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than to enter the kingdom of heaven. Peace
