What is the proportion of work-life balance a college student should have? I'm 17 years old, a college student with university-level stress. I spend 9 hours in school on weekdays and on weekends, I use a total of 5 hours on studying/homework. I'm taking my promotional exams in forty days, and GCE A Levels next year. I actively take part in community work on a weekly basis. My results are below average and I need more time to study (I think). I relax by texting, playing games, facebooking on my iPhone. (sorry android and other OS users lol) I feel I am overstressed so I'm asking this question so that I can prioritize my time better.

  1. It is just new to you, this "overstress" will just become "stress" soon enough when you get used to the lifestyle, and then it will just be nothing after awhile, part of everyday life. Our tolerances grow, but they take time to do so. The work-life ratio is mostly just work, but keep in touch and relax with friends by making time such as going for lunch, coffee, going out on weekends, etc. You will be fine, best of luck on your exams and school.
