How can I raise the happiness of my eevee?

I'm asking this because I really don't have a good idea how to and I'm trying to evolve it into an Espeon / Umbreon. I think that lemonade and fresh water can raise happiness, but aren't there other ways? The version I am playing on is the original silver version.
