How has art affected mankind? How to be successful in life?

I need answers to three questions. How has art affected mankind? How to be successful in life? And what makes a good digital design/ graphic arts class? I want your opinion so don't worry I'm not looking for anything specific. I will be picking a best answer which will be awarded to the person who answers all three questions most fully. 2. Looks like an assignment to me. Art is but a language used by mankind to express emotions. Success is just an subjective concept that anyone can define as he pleases. I would consider success to be avoiding to become the slave of money, fame, love, pleasure. In other words, to be free from the petty rules. As for the last question... I will pretend I never saw it.
3. In a time when everyone could not read, visual media help convey that message, in modern times art it still applies, sometimes words just cannot express what a piece of art can, such as emotion, it's also a glimpse of society in that era. How to be success in art? I suppose if the message that you are trying to express appeals to the masses, you take someone like Kasabe who has a crew of people that create works in his style, and if he likes it he signs it if he doesn't he cuts it up while you watch. Digital design again, does it appeal to your specified audience, does it convey the message you are trying to get out, is it eye catching and does it flow well, (you do not get lost looking at it). I suppose once you make a name for yourself you can start throwing feces up on canvass and sell it for millions.
