Happy days was not too long ago. What are these days?

Public Comments

  1. happy days was set in the 50's when gays were outcasts watch shows set in 70's+
  2. because at that time ppl did not question God when the Bible says it's an abomination. We have more technology etc, but we as a ppl get stupider
  3. Bigotted social conventions. Like how there weren't interracial couples. Hell, there was barely even black people on Happy Days.
  4. thats because back in the 60s and 70s it was taboo to be gay and people thought of it as an evil sin as people those days had morales and knew the difference between right and wrong. by the late 80s and early 90s you started to see more gays around and by now so many people decided to be gay so its nasty now
  5. Let's not forget that movies and television programs weren't allowed to see toilets and shared beds between couples, and weren't allowed to say words like moron or pregnancy until the 60's to the 70's. Imagine how taboo homosexuality was back then.
  6. Issues like that were ignored. You couldn't talk about UFOs back then, without someone laughinmg at you.
  7. Because it would be too confusing when they said "Sit on it, Potsy"
  8. It was taboo to talk about such things back then, duh.
  9. The network, producers, writers, etc, desired to make a sitcom that did not reflect actual real society, rather a sanitized version of it. They desired to make a purely "feel good" series that didn't reflect the normal everyday human condition. It was a sort of "Don't worry, Be Happy" effort that soothed the masses. At the time that gave the audience what they wanted and there is nothing wrong with that. But that's not what all audiences want and other networks, producers, and writers prefer to include social reality in their programs.
  10. It's not about homo-sexuals. It's about grace or law; And law is "inexcusable", leaves ppl "without excuse", both the homosexuals AND those who'd judge them. See Romans 1 & 2 This sort of contention brings on 4 consequences: - indignation - wrath - tribulation - anguish So let's stop it at indignation, to avoid wrath, since wrath can get 'destructive': 1Thessalonians 5:3.
  11. those were the days when morals were high, females were respected, no matter what type they were, teens respected their parents {real ones.} not like today when they don't know who their real parents are . respect for law, for teachers , we could leave our doors unlocked day and night [true.] now every kid has rights , even the rights to learn about homosexuality in prep. std is now contracted by 1 in 4 teens in the usa the time will come , no worries about that
  12. You see so much of it now... it is a sign the end is near. It is everywhere...... like no big deal. (((Neil))) I do not look down on gay people. I just don't. God bless you. ( = >
