- Well, unions are losing momentum very quickly. They had a place in the 1920s, but today they just drive up costs and allow mediocre employees to keep a job. Non-union companies enjoy freedom to run their businesses without the strong-arm tactics. They will always be more profitable and more successful. A "successful" union would have no effect on non-union companies. You don't think these companies would go out and try to install a union do you? Unions = socialism at work!
