What is general knowledge of what does and does not produce human happiness?
I'm taking an Intro to Philosophy class and this is on the chapter one study guide sheet. It's the only one I didn't get. Any thoughts on the answer? It's suppose to just be a generalization of all philosophers through the ages, I'm guessing. What is general knowledge of what does and does not produce human happiness?

- the human has but one prerequisite for happy: they must want to be happy. all the things that they associate with "happy" are mere fodder and technicalities. you can be "happy" while just sitting with your eyes closed thinking on nothing but "god". (it is quite amazing how happy you can get doing this) : i always thought philosophy exams to be laughable as it is a subject of theory and therefore no answer can ever be deemed wrong.
- Your prof is probably looking for an answer that he fed you in class. If you talked about Aristotle and eudaemonia, look there. The answer could also be 'ethics' if your prof has a wierd veiw of what ethics are.
