What are some songs 2011, that make you happy and have meaning behind the lyrics?

My friend has been going through a rough time at school and I want to make her a CD that has a bunch of songs to make her happy. She loves listening to the lyrics and likes understanding the lyrics if that makes any sense/: Like song with deep meaning like, be happy you don't have it as bad as others kinda thing. Please make them as recent as possible (like 2010-2011). Thank you so much!!!
