Is this job that I want too low paid?
Title: Footman/Trainee Butler Salary: £4,940 per annum (this is a live-in position and includes all board and meals) Hours per week: 40 hours This is a temporary 2 year contract and is classed as an Apprenticeship. A permanent job could be made available at the end of the 2 years for the right person. As this position is an Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will study towards an NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, an NVQ Level 3 in Food and Drink Service as well as the NVQ Diploma for Butlers whilst working full time as a Footman/Trainee Butler. This is a great position for anybody wanting to start their career in private/domestic service. £4,940 - is that too low for a job? How would I survive on that? BUT I REALLY WANT THIS JOB!?!

- Surely getting a job that you like, will be good at and will enjoy whilst learning and getting qualifications is more important than what you will earn...You should go for this
- any amount is too low for a job.........but anything u get for just getting started should always be respected....especially when u r needy........after u join the job....show ur skills and determination which will surely bring promotions and money in ur currier.....in short do anything....but wholeheartedly....success is guaranteed..........good luck and work hard.
- hi there i was going to do a 2 year Apprenticeship and the hourly pair is poor, as its an Apprenticeship the money wont be good because your only training. but after that two years its bound to lead onto a full time job, thats what Apprenticeship's are for. if you dont think you can live on the money ask parents/carers for money and say once my Apprenticeship is up i willl have a full time job and ill be able to pay you back in the long run. thats what i did now im earning my own money and i lead my own team and im only 18. you just have to persue what you want and what you think is right, if you dont like the Apprenticeship then you can stop doing it and always look for other jobs that suit you :)
- That is about £96 a week in your pocket. No food or rent to pay. People and some pensioners on income support are living on less in the UK. Go for it.
