5. These talks were doomed to be a sham anyway. Our "friendly" afghani government has been busy cutting deals with the taliban and warlords to keep the poppy $ rolling in. Its not like the talaban was going to moderate their position. They won't be happy until they open a time portal back to the year 1000.
6. It's merely a tactic that the Taliban are using in their war effort. They have no intention of peace and will not be satisfied until Afghanistan is totally under it's control again. It will be a ridiculous sham much like the North Vietnamese at the Paris Peace Talks were with the USA and Henry Kissinger.
7. These people hacksaw American POWs head's off on live TV. These people cut the noses off of their daughters and wives. These people stone woman to death for getting raped. Do you really think I care about offending their delicate sensibilities? I say, throw a pork chop in every Taliban grave. And advertise it. Let them know they do not get the 72 virgin prize when they die.
8. Considering the barbaric and inhuman things they've done to our soldiers, they have no right to complain about anything. If they choose to want to live in the l5th century again, there is nothing we can do about it. But defiling the dead has been going on for thousands of years. It will never stop because combat brings out the best and worst in men. I should know, I was an Army surgeon and saw it all. As a woman, it broke my heart to have to stop working in an l8 year old when I knew I couldn't save him and his mother would maybe blame me. Sometimes I would pretend to be their mothers right before they died, to give them some kind of peace. I cry a lot about those kids. So, no I don't give a shit about Marines peeing on dead barbarians at all.
9. That's Karzai's problem... we've given that crook too much aid already. I say pull out and let the Taliban come back. What are we supposed to do, stay there forever to protect Karzai's A55 ?
