What are the character traits and habits of successful people?

- Charisma, Intelligence, Dedication and Attractiveness. The habits would be to make contacts. Who you know has far more to do with success then what you know... That or money. Lots and lots of money... Edit: I am assuming you refer to Success in terms of career; You cannot compare ones overall happiness to another... It is relative to each individual...
- That depends on how you measure success. If success is wealth, then competitive, intelligent, hard-working, affluent, assertive, charismatic, Type-A people have an advantage. If success is happiness, then it is laid back, accepting, humorous, Type-B people. If success is making it through another day, then whoever makes it through the day has a successful personality. Success can be measured many different ways and can be achieved by people of all walks of life.
- Depends on what you call sucessful. The most sucessful people in buisness, tend towards psychopathic traits - decietfulness, manipulative, charismatic, unemotional/unempathic. A higher proportion of sucessful big company CEOs, MDs (bosses) are actually psychopaths (psychpath does not mean a killer, before anyone jumps to a conclusion). People who tend to be liked also do better than those who arn't as liked- they tend to be described as charismatic, lively, friendly, warm etc. Sucessful scientists are more likely to be dependable, intelligent and perfectionist, and usually quite reserved or not very social (not always) And beautiful people also do tend to be more sucessful than ugly people all other conditions being equil (halo effect). Sucessful people also tend to be more driven and active, sleep less, and work more. It's not just charactor.
- well if their extremely successfull, and extremely rich, then id'e say corruption.
